When Umesh Yadav entered the game to bowl, David Warner, the other opener, managed to escape his chains. He scored four off of Umesh’s second ball. He then let free, hitting Umesh for four fours in his subsequent over.
Umesh’s second delivery in the fifteenth over was short, and Warner was able to cut it past point for a four. Warner hit three consecutive boundaries after Umesh miscalculated with his length, but Umesh had managed to keep him quiet off the previous ball.
After 15 overs, Australia had amassed 54-1 thanks to Warner’s 16 runs in the over.
